*FAQ about online Xhosa course options:* What is the difference between lectures (option B) vs tutor practice sessions (option C) and coaching (option D)?

*Weekly Lectures:*

Session with the lecturer on Zoom who screen-shares the online course and introduces the week's content to any number of students, who get a brief chance to ask questions near the end, but not specifically to practice and get feedback. When we don't offer the tutor sessions (based on demand), then we add a practice of the previous week's content/homework for a period before or at the start of the lecture, and then the next week's content and homework is introduced during the rest of lecture time.

*Purpose:*

Content clarity, pressure/incentive to show up and engage the course, motivation for the week's practice sessions or homework.

*Tutor Practice Sessions:*

Groups of 5-6 students meeting for 30-40 mins with a tutor to practice homework, ask questions, connect with other students

*Purpose:*

Pressure for student to study and learn and speak the content weekly and throughout the course, opportunity for personalised feedback, affirmation, corrections, motivation, enjoyment.

*Fluctuations:* With time and differences in numbers of signups, or number of sponsored students, etc, we sometimes change the offer to fit the demand and budget. This is announced before the course payments are opened, based on the booking form RSVPs.

*Coaching Sessions:*

1-1 meeting for 30-40 mins with a tutor to practice homework, ask questions at a time of your choice.

*Purpose:* If you have the budget and want the personalised attention and extra practice time, this is a great option.

Hope that helps!
